The project comprised the expansion and rehabilitation of the King’s Highway. The works began with the removal of the existing asphalt layer in preparation for the subsequent construction stages. The scope included the reconstruction and upgrading of the roadway through the implementation of sub-base and base course layers, and asphalt paving. The works also included the construction of sidewalks, the installation of concrete barriers, and the establishment of the roadway lighting pole network.
The project scope further included the construction of reinforced concrete retaining walls and stone gabion walls in locations that required structural support and roadway protection. Additionally, the execution of stormwater drainage works, such as trenches and culverts designed to ensure proper surface runoff and prevent water accumulation. The works were concluded by completing all auxiliary and associated elements within the project limits to achieve full operational readiness.
